Event: Day 1 of the Darryl Creighton Cup
It was a picture-perfect day at the magnificent Siam Old Course, where the fairways looked like carpet and the greens rolled smoother than a pint at The Links bar. Day 1 of the Darryl Creighton Cup teed off in style with the field battling not only for glory, but for bragging rights in the clubhouse afterward.
At the top of the leaderboard, it was too close to call — Petur Peterson and Jim Muccino shared the honours as co-winners, both firing impressive gross 78s on the immaculate layout.
Just two shots back was Grant Pride, keeping himself well in contention with a solid 80, followed closely by the birthday boy himself, Darryl Creighton, with a tidy 81.
Rounding out a strong top ten were:
